Lucy was called to the Bar in 2001 and joined Keating in 2004.  She has rapidly acquired an impressive specialist practice in construction, engineering, energy and shipbuilding.  Her practice includes claims for and against construction professionals in these sectors and construction-related issues such as insurance, bonds and guarantees. She is frequently instructed in both domestic and international arbitration proceedings.

A popular and forceful advocate with significant hands-on experience of running high value and high profile litigation from pre-action stage to trial and in the Court of Appeal  (both as junior counsel and in her own right). She is counsel of choice for several major contractors, including some whose experience of her began when she was on the other side.

Lucy also has extensive adjudication experience, from drafting referral documents to tactical matters and oral advocacy both during the adjudication and in enforcement proceedings, in particular including the various jurisdiction issues.

Lucy particularly enjoys disputes involving complex technical issues. Her approach is focussed, practical and commercial.
