Elizabeth joined Keating Chambers in October 2005 after completing a Masters in Corporate and Commercial Law at King’s College London. Elizabeth undertakes construction, infrastructure and general commercial work.
For the majority of 2011, Elizabeth acted for an employer in a multi-million dollar ICC arbitration about the construction of an office building. Her role included cross examining both expert and factual witnesses.
Elizabeth’s other recent work includes successfully pursuing a claim for negligent misstatement against a local authority and acting for a building owner in an appeal against a party wall award.
Elizabeth’s previous experience includes being instructed by the Treasury Solicitor as a junior to John Uff QC in a multi-million domestic arbitration about the interpretation of a PFI contract.
Elizabeth is regularly appointed to act as a mediator. Most recently she was appointed through the City Disputes Panel in a time limited mediation. Settlement has been achieved on the day of mediation in the vast majority of cases.
Elizabeth is a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club and acted as advocate in the November 2011 party wall moot before Mr Justice Akenhead.
