In the past few decades, law pertaining to the environment, and its protection, has increasingly been in vogue. This has been promoted by an improved awareness of the need to protect and by the increase in legislation in this area, resulting in more and varied forms of regulatory proceedings.
Members of Keating Chambers provide advice and representation throughout the spectrum of such environmental matters and, in particular, that impacting on the construction industry - whether at the large scale development or on the homeowner.
Areas of specialism include statutory regulation pertaining to, for example, noise and waste, nuisance, prosecutions under the Building Act and Building Regulations, the Environmental Protection Act, and the Water Resources Act. Similarly members of chambers advise regularly on pollution or damage to other property, and also have experience in claims against professionals in respect of such issues.
