Advocacy

Where an increasing tendency to paper-based practices marks out many at the commercial bar, a continuing tradition of excellence in advocacy remains at the core of Keating Chambers’ leading reputation.

The skills of marshalling of evidence, examination and cross-examination of witnesses and written and oral analysis of legal principle and factual and expert evidence are the product of lengthy training and accumulated experience.

In litigation, Keating Chambers’ advocates have appeared in every Court in the land. Whilst members of Keating Chambers most regularly appear in the Technology and Construction Court, junior barristers will often represent clients in the small claims court or in fast track County Court trials; teams led by QC’s regularly appear the Court of Appeal and, often, the House of Lords – now the Supreme Court.

Advocacy – both written and oral – is also the key to success in domestic and international arbitration.  Members of Keating Chambers have formidable experience as advocates in arbitrations in many jurisdictions, and are experienced in operating under a broad range of arbitration Rules.

Members of Keating Chambers also excel at advocacy in adjudication hearings, where simplicity, brevity and directness can be key.
